Heritage of Creative Spirit
The Yonezawa district of Chino City, where our Head Office & Plant is located, is well known as the site of an ancient village (Tanahata archaeological site) dating back thousands of years to the prehistoric Jomon Period. From here many ancient relics were unearthed, of which the most famous is the “Venus of Jomon” clay figurine, which was designated a national treasure in 1995. Shaped as a pregnant woman, this “Venus” seems to represent ancient people’s prayers for creative power. In our modern times and in this particular area, we have inherited the passion of the ancient Jomon people toward creating things.
